Family Update for the Blog

Well, a lot has happened since my last post on June 6! We welcomed our second child, little Eden Pearl. She was born a month early on Aug. 1. My water broke at work around 11 a.m., I was induced around 5:30 p.m., and she was born at 10:22 p.m. She needed help breathing but was able to breathe on her own after 8 hours on a CPAP. Due to her prematurity, she started out with a feeding tube but quickly started eating on her own. She only had to stay in the Special Care Nursery for one week and came home on Aug. 8.
