Wedding Weekend

My sister got married on May 23 - Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.  To make our life a tiny bit easier, or so we thought, we came to town on Thursday so we wouldn't be rushed on Friday to make it to the rehearsal.  We wanted to swim at the hotel and didn't think we'd have much of a chance if we came on Friday.  So we came early and swam.  Everett, Brandon and Eden had all been sick that week with colds, and on Friday, Brandon was sure he had strep, so he ended up having to go to a clinic there.  Indeed, he had strep, and we were all in a tiny hotel room with him.

On wedding day, I went to have my makeup done and Brandon stayed at the hotel a little longer and took the kids swimming one last time.  They arrived at the church around 11:30 for lunch and pictures.  Everett and Eden did a good job for pictures and there wasn't much whining or crying.

In between the ceremony and the reception, both kids took a nap.  Everett woke up very crabby and had a hard time adjusting.  He came around after a while and was a party animal.  Both kids made it until 9:30.
