The St. Lawrence Gap was within walking distance from our resort. On our last full day we went there to do some souvenir shopping.

Sara and I weren't satisfied with shopping, so we decided to head into Bridgetown while the others went back to the resort. We met a nice gentleman who looked like Tyrese who was going into the city to get his laptop fixed. He told us we were brave to flag down an Eleven and go into the city on our own. Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. He also thought we were sisters. He took us to two shopping places once we got to Bridgetown and told us how to get back on the Eleven and back to our resort. I didn't buy much shopping, but it was cool to be in the big city. On our ride back to the resort, we met a nice college girl who was going home after an exam. She told us some interesting stuff about her education and what her plans were for the future.

This fountain was built to commemorate piped water in Bridgetown on March 29, 1861.
The fountain was dedicated on July 27, 1865. Yes, it is dry. |

| Interesting message on our walk back to the resort from the bus stop |
The evening of our last full day we ate supper at Oistens Fish Fry. It is located next to a fish market and every evening there is a fish fry and basically anything else you want to eat. Friday nights are the best night to go because that is when the locals attend. You walk around and vendors try to get you to eat at their place. We chose a place that had a menu with prices listed since we didn't want to get charged extra for being tourists. Service was bad, but the food was good. We walked around for a bit after we ate but didn't stay long.
