I meant to do a year and a half post but never got around to it, so here is a nineteen and a half month post.
Everett is turning into a toddler before our eyes. He is learning quickly and becoming his own little man. I'm creating a bullet list, because there's a lot.
- He finally said Mom a couple weeks ago.
- Calls Baylee, "Bay" and Odie, "O"
- Doesn't really sign much any longer, but "please" is used frequently when he wants me to carry him around the house
- He tattles on Baylee when she is counter surfing or has jumped on the couch. He finds me and repeats "Bay" in a distressed voice and points to where she is.
- Has started staying up later since the time change, usually around 8 p.m.
- Usually wakes up between 6 and 7 a.m.
- Likes to tickle Mom and Dad and the pets
- Likes to sit on the vent in the bathroom when the furnace is running
- Has just started throwing fits if he doesn't get his way, usually involves stomping, crying and rolling on the floor
- Could play outside all day if we let him, cries when Dad brings him in but Mom can convince him to come in without a fight
- We didn't take his paci away when daycare did, so he still uses it a lot.
- Mimics Mom getting ready, wants his hair blow dried and of course Bay and O need their hair dried, too, and brushes everyone's hair including Bay and O. They also need lotion on their face and their hair styled.
- Is a good helper in the kitchen, throws garbage away and unloads the dishwasher. He also helps me run the washer and dryer.
- We took away his last bottle a couple weeks ago. He cried for it one night and is fine with it now.
- He waves and says "bye" when he goes to bed.
- Really likes ketchup and will eat anything if we put ketchup on it
- Blows on most food to cool it
